Circle Casting, High Priestess:

“Hand to hand we cast the circle,”
The priestess walks to the next person in the circle and takes the hand to her left.
“In Perfect Love and Perfect Trust.”
They continue around the circle, walking to the next person and as each person clasps the hand to their left they say:
“In Perfect Love and Perfect Trust.”

High Priestess, raising her hands, still linked, group follows:
“We consecrate this circle of power to the Goddess and God.
Here may they manifest and bless their children.
This is a time that is not a time,
In a place that is not a place,
On a day that is not a day.
We come now to celebrate Litha!
We stand before the veil of mysteries.
May the Lord and Lady help and protect us on our magical journey.”
Unlink hands.

All face South, South Caller:
“Elements of Fire,
Force of will,
Power of creation.
We call you to witness our rites and guard this circle.”

All face West, West Caller:
“Elements of Water,
Healing river,
Power of mystery.
We call you to witness our rites and guard this circle.”

All face North, North Caller:
“Elements of Earth,
Eternal strength,
Power of life.
We call you to witness our rites and guard this circle.” Read the rest of this entry »

Solstice Ritual

June 21, 2010 at 10:41 pm (Ritual) (, , )

Blessed Solstice Everyone!!!

We celebrated yesterday with a beautiful ritual that finished up just in time for us to not be celebrating with babies in the hail/thunder storm! Goddess Bless!

So the following is our ritual. Thanks to Uncle Hyena who wrote the beautiful poem we used as our invocation.

Thanks to Ash who provided and de-sillified the Nerf swords for the battle. Nerf is awesome because there is much less risk of actually hurting someone during the battle.

My editorial notes are highlighted in yellow to make it easier to differentiate from stage directions and the like. Read the rest of this entry »
